A day at the zoo!

I got a free pass to the zoo since i ran the 5k and syl and clif came out to go with me!!



As we were walking into the zoo this lady comes out with a cooler and ask... "want free ice cream?" of course we said yes!! i got a bullet! Every time i went to the zoo with my family or with my friends family we would ALWAYS get a bullet afterwards! I got mine before we went in but still how AMAZING is that!!!

this was by the bears.. clif made me take pictures of himSyl goes and looks at this boa constrictor then comes and gets me and cliff and points to the sign and says... its a cobra!! hahaha i had to take a picture of the sign haha

the sign says save some water, save a native fish, have fewer mesquitos! when we read this clif pointed out to syl that it was the circle of life... i laughed and took a picture of it

Aren't they sooo pretty! i love them! Coolest animals ever!
They built this cool giraffe tower so you can be up with the giraffes! No feeding them like at the wild zoo but still very cool! and the steps move and the bridge moves too! its fun!
Syl made us peanut butter and honey sandwiches. I got a pudding cup while they ate nasty apple sauce. She's amazing!

I saw a sign next to the otter cages and it told us how to be an otter for the day! how cool is that!!!

I love the zoo!! so many good memories there!

my first 5k!

K8e and i as we got to papago park to run our 5k!!! It was early but once we got our free shirts (i was most excited out that!) I started to get really excited! i loved all the different people there running. Young (1 year old running... this little girl ran with us at the end.. it reminded me of lili) and old like old old, skinny, fit, fat, average.. all were welcome to run! We got to help save the cheetahs and run! it was a very fantastic experience and i am sure i will be doing it again soon!!

there were a ton of people running! i loved the atmosphere of runners all around doing what we love to do! There was such a buzz in the air! i can't wait to do more! i'm going to be addicted to these things!Me and katie in the crowd of people waiting to run

we ran our 5 k!
Right at the finish line! we sprinted to the end and there was a ton of people and the announcer was all " oh look at the fast sprint to the end. this is a photo finish people" It was an amazing feeling to run a 5k and have people waiting at the end! i will be doing it again!
We needed some water after our run! It was nice weather though
afterwards we got free massages!!!
We tried putting oranges in our mouth but k8e couldn't get hers to stay in
she tired but it was still popping out
Then k8e got me an orange and i couldn't keep it in my mouth! haha
We both were able to get the oranges in out mouth!
We finally got the oranges in our mouth... at our 5k!

over all i came in 212 place and for my division i came in 11 out of 25 ppl. I ran it 31:11 and had a pace of about 10:02... it was a fun run and we stopped and took pictures along the way.. but it was still a good pace for us! I loved it!

The dating scene

So the whole mark thing didn't work out... i was kind of sad but i got what i needed out of that.. to get over joel. I also got to be like my sister kerri and date an older guy haha =]

Now i'm on to new and better people! Have you ever heard me say that i wanted to marry my friend bruce cuz of his last name? I would be Krystal Balls! how cool is that??!!? I met bruce when i turned 18 and started going to the young single adult ward. I was dating joel at the time and bruce, brad, and brian (the 3 b's what we called them) were in my ward and we all hung out and played volleyball that summer. that was one of the funnest summers! joel and i broke up before he was leaving for school and that week Bruce asked me out. I said no thanks and then we kind didn't talk any more after that and joel and i got back together. Bruce then went on a mission to Brazil and got home this Oct. He texted when he got home and then we never hung out. I invited him to a couple of stuff but nothing really happened. I invited him to my birthday party and he came and ended up being the only guy there. My friend k8e then invited him to come over the following friday and play video games with us.

He came over that friday and we went to applebee's instead. Thats when the past got brought up. We explained what happend to katie and got to talk about why things never worked out for us. Then sat after my run and the zoo i went over to go swimming at his parent's house. His roommate and a girl came and played with us. I got to meet his family again and then i went over to granny's for bit while he went to his friends wedding. I went back over and we watched the movie Big! SO cute! i loved it! that night just happened to be our first kiss too =]

Sunday night syl invited us over to her house for dinner with clif and her roommate and her date. we ate and played catch phrase then watched the count of monte cristo. bruce and i stayed and talked for awhile... and now we are dating =]
