Art class

When i was signing up for classes i was only able to get into 3. I had 9 credits but i needed 12. so i took an art class!!

Its begining drawing! we are going to learn differnet things and draw with charcoal. So far i love the class!

Our first drawing is the one that we are going to get graded against for the final. The teacher didn't give us any instructions and we just had to draw what we saw..
This is my number 1.

It isn't the greatest but i've never been able to draw!!

Then he showed us how to shade and made us do another drawing in class. This is what i did...

I wasn't getting it. i finally asked for help after an hour of drawing and he said.. it doesn't look like the vase, why? i said cuz i can't draw! He then explained that yes i can draw i just can't see. I was like hmm no i can't draw but i listened to what he said. I got a little down cuz everyone in the class is really good.

I came home and later that night i thought i would try again.

This is what i came up with...

Its still not the best but i think it looks why better then the one i did in class.

I'm going to keep working and trying new things. Hopefully by the end of the semester i'll be able to draw things that ppl can recoginze =]

ASU GAME

Brandon took me to a ASU football game. His dad has season tickets and went out of town so brandon got the tickets. The games was a lot of fun!! The game we went to was agaisnt standford. The best part of the game was when the ref got tackled!!! Thankfully it was a high scoring game and entertaining so i had a blast!!

just FYI brandon and i are just friends. We dated for a bit (like a week or 2) and now we are just going to be friends. I'm set on going on a mission. =]

I'm back!

So long story made short, I fasted and prayed about being able to get a job so i could pay bills, and i got the answer to return to az. i don't know why. I hate to admit it, but i had feelings i shouldn't go to utah. not bad ones just kind of like my place was here in Az. But i REALLY REALLY wanted to go so i didn't listen. After humbling myself and being willing to listen and follow the Lord, i got my answer yet again to return to Az so i listened.

It was REALLY hard for me. I loved everything about utah. i was excited for classes and my ward and roommates. However, for some reason, i need to be home.

So i came back. It was a very fast thing. fast and prayed on sat drove home on tuesday. everything fell into place for me to get home.

i am back at aunt marshas and uncle kevins. they kindly let me back into my old room.

I'm even going to start working at the arena again.

Brandon, my ex boyfriend, came home from his mission, and we are friends again. NO i'm not getting married next week lol, but we are going to be friends and see if anything comes from that.

i'm truly happy right now. I honestly say i haven't been this happy since high school. Its not easy, and i'm working on being a better person and listening to the Lord and trusting in Him each and every day. I know He has truly blessed me for following and trusting in him so far. I HAVE NO CLUE WHY I'M SUPPOSE TO BE HOME AND WHY I CAN'T BE IN UTAH, but i know i'm just as happy here as i was there. who knows, maybe down the road something AMAZING is going to happen!!

My testimony builder!

In order to pay for school I received a $4,500 scholarship from the BHHSC legacy foundation. Then i got a pell grant for $4,500. I also was able to get a $4,500 federal loan. I was set for school. With my pell grant and scholarship, i only had $1000 left to for school, hence getting the loan. Once i got up here to Utah, I kept waiting for a form i needed to fill out in order to get my loan money. I was planning on using it to pay my bills and tuition while i'm here. It never came and I was really worried about it. I had to pay tuition before the dead line, or I would be dropped from my classes and have to pay and extra fee.

So I went to the Lord on bended knees and asked for his help.

I have been struggling with the thought of serving a mission when i turn 21. I have never wanted to go and it seemed like getting my education first would be best. However, feelings kept coming back about a mission. So, while on my knees I asked what i needed to do in order to pay for my schooling. I got a very strong impression to not worry about the loan and not to take it. If i was going to serve a mission on a years time then having to worry about deferring a loan would be one thing to keep me from going. At first it surprised me, but i realized it was only $1000 that i had to pay and i could set up a tuition payment plan. I also wouldn't be in debt and could go on a mission without anything holding me back.

I asked the Lord to please help me figure out a payment plan so that i wouldn't go into debt. I looked into it and found there was a 3 month plan and that it could work out. The first payment had to paid on the 15th and i didn't have money in order to make the 1st payment. I started to worry that i was going to have to take the loan out but i knew i shouldn't. I kept praying and stressing out. When the 15th came I was going for a walk and checked the mail. I got a letter from school saying...

"congratulations. You will be receiving a $2000 honors transfer wavier scholarship. it will be split equally into 2 semesters only."

I now do not have to pay anything for tuition!!! The Lord had answered my prayers and helped me to get a very very very last minute scholarship.

I'm so truly grateful for all the Lord has done for me. I know He has a plan for me, and i want be ready and willing when the time comes. This next year will be hard for me. I will have to work a real job (once i find one) and go to schol full time. I will also be preparing for a mission. I'm very excited to have a road map to follow and am going to continue to trust in the Lord and follow the council He has given me.It will be hard but i'm sure it will be worth it!!!!

Ogden Valley balloon festival

My roommate erica and I went up to eden on sat and spent the whole day at the balloon festival! We spent the first part looking at vendors and arts and crafts. Then we went to Eats of Eden and had pizza. After that we went to where the balloons were and listen to bands play, drank hot coco cuz i was freezing, and watching the balloons do their magic. IT was a very fun day!!!

Utah is amazing!

I'm really into working out and getting back into shape right now. I'm trying to train for two 10Ks and a 5K.

On my way home from finding my classes one day i saw a hike on top of the moutain. I thought it would be fun to hike it so i went home and got ready to hike. When i got there i found out that it was work out trail. HOW COOL IS THAT!!!!

There are 18 markers with 18 different works you can do. You can either run the whole thing or walk. I ran half of it (i had already ran 5ks that day!)

The 1st exercise is to do jumping jacks.
2nd sit and reach
3rd Hop skip ( kind of pulled my hammy on this one =-/
4th knee lift
5th log hop
6th step up
7th Circle body
8th somtic squat
9th chin up
10th vault bar
11th touch toes

12th Sit ups
13th Body curl
14th push ups
15th bench leg raise
16th hand walk
17th pelvic stretch
18th balance

I just think its cool they have this!!!

My sewing skills keep coming

my ex boyfriend now friend brandon went to africa on his mission.. (who gets home this week crazy!!) and for, i think, my 19th birthday sent me some really cool green giraffe fabric.

I wasn't sure what do with it. At first i had it over my bed at my aunts house as curtains. I left it their when i was at EAC. I brought it with my to utah thinking i could use it as a certain again... but my window was too small. So i thought i'd use it to make something!! I used it to make a shoe holder since my closet is to small to hold anymore stuff.

It took me 2 weeks to finally piece it all together but i finally finshed it!!! and i left overs for another project =] Thanks brandon!!!

YSA drive in movie night

On wed my roommate erica and i went to the drive in movies for the young single adult activity. I haven't been to a drive in movie for years!!! We found some people from our ward and hang out and ate pizza and waited until it got dark enough to watch the movie. I had already seen it but it was still good! We brought chairs and sat with some guys in our ward so we could hear it from their radio.. i was not about to waste my battery on a movie!!!! I was FREEZING the entire time! ITS only august and i'm getting cold...

after the dark knight we stayed and watched journey to the center of the earth.. not in 3D... it was ok.... but the night was fun!!!
