Sheree's bridal shower

Since i'm the only Hebner girl living in the valley i just had to make the shower. Aunt marsha and i went early because i had to work. Aunt sandi's new house is B-E-A-U-TIFUL! We got the tour of the place then sat and waited for everyone to show up.

Sheree definitely already fits into this family..she was about 45 mins late to her own shower (we are just hoping she makes it to her own wedding =]) Once she got there we ate the yummy food! We had to leave so we handed her our gifts then ran home. Aunt sandi sure knows how to throw a party!!!! Welcome to the family Sheree!!

Misty wanted an appearance on the blog so she jumped in with the new bride to be.. again misty.. you're trying to steal the show!!..didn't you feel bad enough with the wedding dresses? hahah j/k you know i love you!!! (you'll have to ask misty about trying on their wedding dresses together for that story!)

Thomas S. Monson

Isn't that a cute picture of our prophet!?!

On sunday we had a CES broadcast and the prophet spoke to us. I was really excited to hear from him. I've been struggling with the idea of staying in school or preparing for a mission. I want to be in school, but then i feel i should be saving up for a mission which means school gets in the way..less hours to work. I knew that the prophet would give me the answer i needed. I wasn't sure how, I just knew he would. I made sure i fasted saturday night to sunday so i could be spiritually fed that day. I wanted him to come out and say something along the lines of hey you should do this! =] it doesn't work that way but thats what i was hoping for, All day i kept looking for an answer. Everything that day was giving me both sides, Missionary stuff and staying in school stuff. It was so weird. It happened all day. once i thought i got an answer to go one way, the other half would be brought up some how and i was left to wonder which way i should go. Needless to say, i was really looking forward to listening to the prophet.

His talk was amazing. And i can i just say how much i love him!! i can't even tell you how many jokes he cracked during his talk... and and random spots. He made us laugh, and cry and most important, feel the spirit. His talk did give me my answer, but it wasn't the go down this path answer. He said that right now is the time to prepare. I am in the period of preparation and i need to do all i can to be preparing. Once the time for the decision comes to be made, the time to prepare is over. For me, that helped sooo much! I can be spiritually preparing to go on a mission now, when i can't (to young). It will prepare me for either a mission, or staying in school. It will only help me in the long run. If i end up going on a mission then i will be ready spiritually to handle going out. If i stay and go to school, i'll have become the person i should be.

He gave 4 or so points on how we can learn to be prepared. I am going to heed his counsel and prepare. I don't need to worry about what will happen because as long as i'm preparing, when the time comes to decide, i'll be prepared to make that important decision. He truly is a prophet. I must say it was a testimony builder. I know Heavenly Father helped him with what he should say, and not just for me, but for every young single adult! HOW amazing is that?!?!??!

P90X

Thats right i am now the owner of P90X! So far i love it! I started the day i got it, last tuesday, and have been sore ever since. Uncle kevin bought a pull up bar so I get to do everything in all the disks. I'm not doing so well following the diet plan. I'm just going to try the eat healthy route and see if that works. Yes. i did take the before picture, but i still look like the before pic so i wont be posting that until i don't look like that any more =] I'm sticking to the program the whole 90 days so we'll see what results from it!!!

Homemade goodness!!

For christmas,in my stocking was my ALL time favorite, A huge bag of pecans!! I love pecans! One night i was sitting eating my pecans when i realized i never do anything with the huge bag, I just eat them until they are gone and thats it. I never buy nuts to put in cookies or things because you pay a lot for so little... so i really wanted to use my pecans in some yummy homemade cookies. and not just any cookies.. i wanted the real deal.. i wanted oatmeal, chocolate chips, pecan, big yummy ness. So i told syl about it and she said she was planning on making homemade ice cream on sunday so we could do both!!!

We had a ton of fun making oh so very good cookies, and enjoying the yummy homemade vanilla ice cream with the warm cookie on top!!!

Rain Forest Cafe!

Syl and I go out to eat like once a week. It's what we do. Now that i'm mostly a closer and she has a boyfriend, we only see each other once maybe twice a week. Each time we hang out we find a new place we have never been or want to go eat. For the last week or so we wanted to go to the Rain Forest cafe!! So saturday we headed out. Its a REALLY cool place with all the decorations and all. However, its very expensive!! I had heard it was expensive but we both wanted to go so i was just going to suck it up. After we sat looking at prices we decide to split the pot roast. Every where you go if you get the roast you get a ton of mashed potatoes and veggies and really good roast... not here! the roast was ehhh and there were A TON of onions! hardly any other veggie. The mashed potatoes were good but not nearly enough for 2 ppl. it was the smallest serving of pot roast i had ever seen! And it was $15.99. We were very disappointed in our trip. We were so sad cuz we were sooo excited but at least we know what it's like!

I also got my cute new hat for christmas.. every chance i get it i wear it! syl saw that i had mine on so she made sure she wore hers!! aren't we so cute?!?!

We have a lightrail!!

On Dec 27th the Arizona lightrail opened up!! i thought it was would be a cool memory to be go ont he grand opening! Aunt marsha said she would go with me and we dragged jess along to ride it. We got up and headed over to a park and ride lot. We had to wait a few minutes for the train to come. It was windy and cold but sooo worth it. We loaded up on the crowed train and headed into town. We only rode it for like 8 stops. We got off at Mill Ave and the ASU stop and walked around and got a bunch of free stuff. I had to work so we couldn't ride it all the way and back but i was just happy that i was able to ride it the day it opened up!!!!
