Shout out to TIA!!

Tia was my high school athletic trainer. I was a student trainer with her for almost 4 years. I learned more with her then i have in any of my college classes. Don't believe me?!?! Well ill prove it!

I started anatomy this semester. Everyone who has taken it says it has kicked their butts! They says it;s one of the hardest classes... You have to study a ton and you can't miss class at all. You need flash cards and study groups just to pass with maybe a good grade. I have been looking forward to this class since i had advance bio as a senior in high school. I was ready and willing to put in all the time i needed for this class. The first week or so was about chemistry which i took last semester so it was a review. then my teacher announced the hard stuff was starting and to start working hard. I was ready. Right now we are learning the bones of the body. Everyone was freaking out in lab when they saw the bones we needed to learn. I looked at the list with about 50 bones. I knew about 38 of them already.

I remember sitting with tia on the golf cart during the softball week of tournaments and her pointing to every bone and drilling me on them. I knew all the bones by the end of freshmen year. We started learning about the skin and bones and injuries. I was so very bored on friday in class because the teacher sat and explained every fracture a bone can get. I learned that like the 1st semester of my freshman year!

So far i've studied for 10 mins before each quiz and test and i'm passing with an A. It's all because of Tia and the things she taught me my high school years. i think i spent more time with her then anyone else during high school. She taught me the most and because of her i'm breezing on through one of the hardest classes i'll have to take. THANKS TIA!!! your the greatest!!!!

saturdays evenings

My roommates stay up late all the time. Jessi used to go to bed first but then she got a boyfriend soo now she stays up later then sarah and kali some nights. It's about 6 on saturday and every single one of them is sleeping!!!! they will wake up around 8ish and party allll night long! They are party animals. I'm the only one awake, doing homework, updatin my blog, cooking. It's no fun. They will ll stay up at least 3 hours longer then i will.. if not longer! CRAZY girls!!! I average about 7-8 hours a night. Some nights i get like 6 if i want to stay up and play but then there are nights when i get 10 to 11 hours. They all average about 3-5 hours a night. Some nights it's 2-3.. i don't know how they do it!!! i even started taking at least an hour nap during days cuz my body needs 9 hours to be good. They take naps but not that often!!

My hair...

The hair is starting to grow on me. I like being blonde. People are still commenting on it. There are days when my hair is just not being cute but the color wouldn't change anything so i just deal with it. I like the color. I don't want to keep it my whole rest of my life but for now i like it. It's fun to just be whatever color i want to be.

Today this girl told me that she was sad i dyed my hair because she thought i looked like snow white. She said she really wanted me to work at disneyland so i could be the snow white princess. I just laughed! I loved that she thought that. Random but cool!!! Some people say they love me better blonde, some say they like me better with dark brown, others say i can pull off both colors. So when my roots grow in i'll see what color i changed too =]

FUN WEEKEND!

Last weekend we all went to Mr. EAC and Mrs. EAC. It was pretty funny but lame. Then we all headed over to R&R pizza to see sarah and joel and eat yummy pizza!!! Joel's cousins who just got home from his mission a few weeks ago came up as a surprise. He came up with his friend so we thought we'd show him how great EAC really was.

We got a big group together and went and snuck into the mansion. I had never been so i was REALLY excited!! We snuck into the house which is really cool but also really creepy!! WE got a little scare when we thought the caretaker was coming after us... but it was just another kid joining our party. After that we went to look at the hot tubs. There is an Olympic size natural hot spring and a guitar shaped one along with just random little ones. They are really cool! I have yet to go in one but i know the girls family who kind of owns it so i'll go soon enough! One kid, Josh, got in but that was it.

After that we went to Reynolds which is a place that everyone does their bonfires at. Jessi and i went and got the wood from behind home depot then got sobes and gasoline. We got the bonfire going then did the sobe bombs!!! I had never done these either but it was WAY FUN!!! We had some bottle rockets that we left off. Then i was kind of done for after we went through our 4 bottles so we left. IT was tons of fun though!!!

It's a new me

I just need change sometimes...

i just wanted to see what it would look like to be blonde... now i'm strawberry blonde. As of right now i hate it. I always do at first... We'll see if it changes. I'm staying blonde for awhile even if no one likes it. It was expensive and i wanna keep it this way til i figure out the best color for me =] i just love dying my hair... oooh and this time the eye brows got dyed too. they had to be lighten up so i didn't look so funny... there will be more pictures to come... this is just the first snap shot =]

In memory of granma

My granma's funeral was on friday. I came up to prescott to be there with my family. This death was a huge shock to everyone. She did almost the same thing as i did... went on the highway, flipped several times. Only the differences with this one was she wasn't wearing her seat belt and was ejected and died at the scene.

Out of everyone in my family i think i handle death the best. I love my granma and i'll miss her tons! I know i'll see her again someday and i know she is very happy and teaching up in the spirit world. Her death made me realize that my husband will never know her, or my grandfather who died less than a year ago. My husband and my family will never know what my family traditions are and get to experience them the way i spent my whole life doing. That kind of sucks since both of my sister's husband and kids got to meet them and see what we do for hoildays. That's one of the worldly things i'll miss the most. I'll miss my granma but i know she is very happy so i can let the worldly things pass. We'll have plenty of time to make more traditions when we are all together again.

The funeral went really well. My granma was cremated so there was no coffin. My mother did an amazing job of her life story... just as she did at my granfathers funeral. The food was yummy! Hanging out at papa's house all day was a lot of fun. I met family i never knew i had. My granma's sisters came and brought their family. We all had fun telling stories and remembering our favorite memories.

I also got a really cute dress to meet everyone in =]

THE ROOMMATE CHALLENGE 2008

This semster i joined wellness, which is the schools gym. I was working out one day when i saw that they were having a "biggest loser" competition. I thought it would be a good modivator so i joined up for it. They also had a 3:10 to yuma.. People are racing to run/stair master/ elipical/ bike to get to "yuma" first. Another one they had was four courners. People are biking around the state of az. I was talking to my roommates about it and we all thought it would be fun if we did a 3:10 to yuma ourselves!!

So said that the goal was 300 miles. We haven't found somewhere that is 300 miles from thatcher yet.... We are also doing a point system. For every mile you run you get 4 points. For stairmaster if you go a mile you get 3 points. IF you do a mile on the elipical you get 2 points. And if you bike or walk a mile you get 1 point. All other workout stuff like a sport, dancing, abs, weight, you get a point.

The idea is that the goal is to get 300 miles first. HOWEVER with the points i could come in 2nd but still win if i did harder and better work outs. WE are recording our mileage on our wall. We cut out ppl from magazines and we move them every time we get mileage. WE also have to record what we do each day. at the end we will figure out points to see who is the Winner!!

Sarah said she isn't going to do it but we are making her. she prolly wont get much mileage but she can get points for stuff. We are alll way excited and it makes us work out and be healthy!! It's a win win. Plus it will help me with the biggest loser for wellness =]
