So long story made short, I fasted and prayed about being able to get a job so i could pay bills, and i got the answer to return to az. i don't know why. I hate to admit it, but i had feelings i shouldn't go to utah. not bad ones just kind of like my place was here in Az. But i REALLY REALLY wanted to go so i didn't listen. After humbling myself and being willing to listen and follow the Lord, i got my answer yet again to return to Az so i listened.
It was REALLY hard for me. I loved everything about utah. i was excited for classes and my ward and roommates. However, for some reason, i need to be home.
So i came back. It was a very fast thing. fast and prayed on sat drove home on tuesday. everything fell into place for me to get home.
i am back at aunt marshas and uncle kevins. they kindly let me back into my old room.
I'm even going to start working at the arena again.
Brandon, my ex boyfriend, came home from his mission, and we are friends again. NO i'm not getting married next week lol, but we are going to be friends and see if anything comes from that.
i'm truly happy right now. I honestly say i haven't been this happy since high school. Its not easy, and i'm working on being a better person and listening to the Lord and trusting in Him each and every day. I know He has truly blessed me for following and trusting in him so far. I HAVE NO CLUE WHY I'M SUPPOSE TO BE HOME AND WHY I CAN'T BE IN UTAH, but i know i'm just as happy here as i was there. who knows, maybe down the road something AMAZING is going to happen!!

My testimony builder!
In order to pay for school I received a $4,500 scholarship from the BHHSC legacy foundation. Then i got a pell grant for $4,500. I also was able to get a $4,500 federal loan. I was set for school. With my pell grant and scholarship, i only had $1000 left to for school, hence getting the loan. Once i got up here to Utah, I kept waiting for a form i needed to fill out in order to get my loan money. I was planning on using it to pay my bills and tuition while i'm here. It never came and I was really worried about it. I had to pay tuition before the dead line, or I would be dropped from my classes and have to pay and extra fee.
So I went to the Lord on bended knees and asked for his help.
I have been struggling with the thought of serving a mission when i turn 21. I have never wanted to go and it seemed like getting my education first would be best. However, feelings kept coming back about a mission. So, while on my knees I asked what i needed to do in order to pay for my schooling. I got a very strong impression to not worry about the loan and not to take it. If i was going to serve a mission on a years time then having to worry about deferring a loan would be one thing to keep me from going. At first it surprised me, but i realized it was only $1000 that i had to pay and i could set up a tuition payment plan. I also wouldn't be in debt and could go on a mission without anything holding me back.
I asked the Lord to please help me figure out a payment plan so that i wouldn't go into debt. I looked into it and found there was a 3 month plan and that it could work out. The first payment had to paid on the 15th and i didn't have money in order to make the 1st payment. I started to worry that i was going to have to take the loan out but i knew i shouldn't. I kept praying and stressing out. When the 15th came I was going for a walk and checked the mail. I got a letter from school saying...
"congratulations. You will be receiving a $2000 honors transfer wavier scholarship. it will be split equally into 2 semesters only."
I now do not have to pay anything for tuition!!! The Lord had answered my prayers and helped me to get a very very very last minute scholarship.
I'm so truly grateful for all the Lord has done for me. I know He has a plan for me, and i want be ready and willing when the time comes. This next year will be hard for me. I will have to work a real job (once i find one) and go to schol full time. I will also be preparing for a mission. I'm very excited to have a road map to follow and am going to continue to trust in the Lord and follow the council He has given me.It will be hard but i'm sure it will be worth it!!!!

Ogden Valley balloon festival
My roommate erica and I went up to eden on sat and spent the whole day at the balloon festival! We spent the first part looking at vendors and arts and crafts. Then we went to Eats of Eden and had pizza. After that we went to where the balloons were and listen to bands play, drank hot coco cuz i was freezing, and watching the balloons do their magic. IT was a very fun day!!!

I'm really into working out and getting back into shape right now. I'm trying to train for two 10Ks and a 5K.

My sewing skills keep coming
my ex boyfriend now friend brandon went to africa on his mission.. (who gets home this week crazy!!) and for, i think, my 19th birthday sent me some really cool green giraffe fabric.
I wasn't sure what do with it. At first i had it over my bed at my aunts house as curtains. I left it their when i was at EAC. I brought it with my to utah thinking i could use it as a certain again... but my window was too small. So i thought i'd use it to make something!! I used it to make a shoe holder since my closet is to small to hold anymore stuff.
It took me 2 weeks to finally piece it all together but i finally finshed it!!! and i left overs for another project =] Thanks brandon!!!

YSA drive in movie night
On wed my roommate erica and i went to the drive in movies for the young single adult activity. I haven't been to a drive in movie for years!!! We found some people from our ward and hang out and ate pizza and waited until it got dark enough to watch the movie. I had already seen it but it was still good! We brought chairs and sat with some guys in our ward so we could hear it from their radio.. i was not about to waste my battery on a movie!!!! I was FREEZING the entire time! ITS only august and i'm getting cold...
after the dark knight we stayed and watched journey to the center of the earth.. not in 3D... it was ok.... but the night was fun!!!

my days get long
So to keep myself entertained i try and find things that can keep me busy.
My sister Kim and i were shopping one day and i saw a calender in a floating glass frame. It was a dry earse and super cute. The only bad thing was it was at least $30.
So i kept my eye out to see how much a floating frame would cost. I found one for about $13 but i still wasn't willing to spend that much on a calender.
I made a trip to the DI ( which in utah is AMAZING!!) and i found one for $1. so i went home and made my calender.
I think it turned out ok =]

Did you watch the opening ceremonies!!??
I think that this year was by far the GREATEST opening ceremonies!!! I loved every minute of it!! I liked LED scroll!! The dancers that painted a picture of the mountains and sea was very amazing!!! I LOVED the 2,008 ( i didn't get that until i wrote it down.. 2,008 people, year 2008 get it haah) guys doing the count down and the drums. VERY COOL.
I was disappointed in the USA wardrobe. I think they could have done something better then what they had on.
Thankfully my sister called and reminded that i didn't see the end with the lighting of the torch so i ran back down to turn it on.. and i watched as China came in..
Did you hear about the little boy next to that BIG basketball player?? There was an earthquake awhile back in China and this little boys class had 27 of the kids killed. He got out of the ruble and went back to help save 2 of his classmates. they later asked him why he went back and he said " i'm a class leaders. i'm on the hall monitors. Its my job to help them."
That was the greatest story i have ever heard!! The fact that a 9 year old knew this job and was willing to help others, is amazing!! I look up to that little kid!!!
The lighting of the torch was also very fun to watch!!!

My ward is great
So i love my new ward. There are a lot of age groups!!! I'm finally not the youngest which is always good. We also have a few "mid adults" as the 27 and up are now called. I think we have a good variety.
For FHE (family home evening) we went up Ogden canyon and roasted smores. This week we are going mini golfing. On wed there is a drive in activity. For enrichment, we are going rock climbing, up a mountain!!! Tonight is also ward prayer... i'm still not sure what that is but i'll keep you posted.
It's nice having a bunch of activities to do since i'm still jobless =]

My own room
since the pictures i have added some decoration but not too much. My room is 10X9 but i love it!
My bed is a chair but can be pulled out each night into a very comfortable bed. My desk is the perfect size for my computer and sewing machine.

all alone!
I'm the only one left in utah now. Everyone up and left me. BUT i love it here!! I wish my sister kim and her family could have come and played with all of us, but i did get to see her all summer. the family is now all across the united states. I am in utah, while kerri and her family are now in virgina, Kim and her family move back to hawaii in a few weeks, and mom dad garrett are still in Az. Man crazy how things change huh!!!
I love love love it here in utah!! We have tracks, and a front runner which are trains and light rails that go from here to ogden and all around salt lake so i don't have to drive sundance if i want to head down there.
I love my town house! ( pictures to come) My roommates are super cool and very nice!! its beautiful up here!!! and i'm training for 2 5ks in september!!! I have adjusted well and i can't wait for school to start on the 25th!!!

when kerri and i get together
We tend to get bored easily. Once the family left we didn't know what to do. she still had a week until she left for virgina so i stayed with her in murray. Brad left on wed to drive there, while kerri had to wait til friday to fly with kaci. One night we made cupcaked and decorated them with the help of her mother in law lynda.
Then then next day we bought some canvas and again with the help of lynda painted out first ever oil paintings!! we had a blast doing it and we kept pretty busy! we both think out paintings turned out really good. kerri took her idea from a painting of her friends and i just did abstract green squares. who would have know we were such good oil painters!!!

kaci's 1st birthday
one year ago i was sitting in hawaii holding my niece kaci for the 1st time. a year later i'm sitting in hawaii playing at a water park and watching her open presents!! She sure does know how to throw a fun party!! We all went a water park called raging waters in salt lake and spent the day going down fun slides. There was one slide that dropped down then there was a huge bump you had to make over before you dropped back down to the pool of water all while being on your stomach face forward. They have a lifeguard at the bottom of the 1st drop in case you don't make it over the incline. garrett and i both succesfully made it over!! It was the scarist slide i have ever been on but also one of the coolest!!!
