Syl's cabin

Syl and her family have a cabin on top of mount graham. Syl was heading up there for the long weekend. she was sad cuz her boyfriend cliff had to work and wouldn't be going. I was all sad cuz she was going to be gone and bruce was going to be at lake powell. so we decied that i should go up and we would have a girls weekend without the boys! It was sooo fun! 2 of her brothers and their families were there her dad and her younget bro who just got home from his mission last week. Their mom came up later on sunday. It took us all day to get up there cuz we stopped and did lots a long the way. I was so excited to go back to thatcher. It has been an entire year since i was there last. Everything is upgraded. I couldn't believe all the things that had changed...yet it was still same old thatcher. i'm so glad i went to EA last year! Once we finally got up to the cabin i had to run 7 miles since i'm training for my half marathon. I figured it would be easier to just run down the mountain. I made degen (syls bro the RM that just got home) run with me. He was a trooper and ran the whole way. It wasn't hard since it was down hill but it took us an hour. Our legs HURT the rest of the weekend!!!


Sunday syl took me to hike ladybug trail! We kind of got lost but eneded up finding the trail. It wasn't hard... but my legs were sore and it was up the moutain.
Syl is pointing to the moss. i told her the story about how jessica and brooke would make moss their pets when they were little. lol
Syl was a trooper and made it to the top!!! It was soooooo pretty up there

This little guy was a fast flyer. He was the only lady bug we found. Apprently later in the summer the entire rock we were on is covered in lady bugs. Hopefully i'll make it back up when they all get there
Right after that hike syl took me to hike up to bear cave. That one was straight up the mountain!! It was a killer! But sooo worth it!!

It was sooo green up there. There was a stream running so everything was growing and very green. i loved it! nature is one of my absoulte favorites! It was so nice to just sit and listen to the water trickle and see all the beautiful plants

On the way back this ugly bug was on our windowsheild! IT WAS HUGE! can you see the stinger on that??!!! it gives me the goose bumps to think of that thing stinging me! OUCH!


After our hikes we went back and took a nap. i got up to go play games with syl and her sister in law and my legs wouldn't move. Syl had to carry me into the kitchen. My legs are still sore but i had lots of fun!!! We played lots of games and made homemade ice cream. All and all it was great trip! I missed bruce a ton though. hawaii is going to be hard but i'm so excited to go!!!!! Syl and i have planned on going back up to the cabin later this summer. I loved it there!!!

Payson

Bruce being the oh so amazing brother that he is, told his sister he would drive up to Payson and pick up roofing shingles that she had ordered. I love road trips and since he was going to be leaving real early i offered to drive up with him!
It was early and i look like poop but we had to document our first trip together!!! We had fun listening to music and enjoying the pretty drive up. It was a good time to talk and get some things settled and talked about.

These are the shingles... bruce didn't know i was taking the picture lol. There was a lot of them but we got them home safely! So far things are amazing! We take turns driving out to see each other since he lives in noth phoenix and i live in chandler. Things with bruce are so different. I don't think i have ever felt this way about any of the guys i've dated. bruce and i talk a lot about how this is an "adult relationship". Its weird to think about sometimes. i know i'm an adult but i still feel like i'm just me. Kim points out that i will always be her baby sister and i feel that way and i'm ok with that. I love growning up but i don't feel old. I guess that is a good thing. Bruce and I are getting pretty serious but we have talked and are just going to have fun and enjoy the summer and if things still look up by the time i get home from hawaii we'll get " serious". =] its werid that i'm in the position to be thinking about him as a possibly my future husband. It freaks me out to think about it seriously but at the same time its fun to think i'm in that stage of my life. Don't worry people we are still just boyfriend girlfriend. We've talked some but we are still getting to know each other. I just thought i'd let you know that i'm really into him and am oh so very happy!

Sylvia!

This is me and syl! I love this girl!!! She is by far one of my most favorite bestest friend! We have so much fun together! These were taken on my birthday. She spent the whole morning/afternoon with me!
Our real smiles. We were laughing about something! We laugh all the time! There are many nights when we have ofraph (when you are slap happy and every thing is funny) and we laugh and laugh!
We see each other lots! Now that we BOTH have boyfriends we get to go on all the fun dates we had planned before the boys came into our lives. We made a pact that we wouldn't be those stupid girls that gives up everyone just to be with their boyfriends. Syl did a GREAT job since she has been with cliff lots longer then i have been with bruce. Thankfully cliff and bruce like each other so we all hang out lots!
We also have nights where its just the 2 of us. We like to go out to eat. We have our "golden Red" nights every once in awhile (red robin and get endless fries and then golden spoon for fozen yogurt) but mostly we find places we have never been and try them out. We have gotten really close and plan to be friends FOREVER! Cliff and syl are going to be engaged by the end of summer! how exciting is that!!?!? She is my first close friend to be getting married. Its nice to have her going through it so i can watch and learn and see what its like through her. She is amazing! AND they both are in agreement to move to colordo some day!
This is just a picture of me when i turned 21. I saw a picture of aunt karen at her 50th birthday party and she was 21 and in a cute cute outfit. I wanted to have one of those pictures so when i turn 50 i can show everyone my cuteness when i was 21 and living it up =]

Q? What does 61 hours in the tutoring room plus all the other hours studying get you?


A-

I passes both my anatomy and microbiology class with a B!!!!! I am oooooh so happy about it. I worked my tail off for both of those B's.. Uncle kevin said.. a B is good? miss straight A student id excited over a B?? YES I AM!!!!!!! i really thought i was failing all semester.. and i'm pretty sure i was... but i pulled out with a B!! this was by far the hardest semester of my LIFE! and i realized it... its just going to get harder. It is worth it though.. maybe if i had more then 61 hours i could have got an A! but with work that was not possible! i'm happy though!!!

Hawaii here we come!

Jessica and I are officially going to hawaii to see the Howard clan!!! We leave july 7th! Jessica comes back the 22nd for school but i'm staying until the 4th! i can't wait to see my sister! It will be almost an entire year since i have last seen her! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!

I think 2 additional people to the Howard apartment wont be to bad... since jessica insists on ALWAYS laying on top of me =]

My amazing mother

This is my mommy! The best one out there! Since today is mother's day i thought i'd send out a little shout out! This picture shows one of the many reasons why i love my mother. She has the COOLEST hair ever. I can move it and put it any way I want.. and it stays! i have many memories of playing with her hair and laughing until i cried! And she always let me! What a grand mom i have!

As i have gotten older i've realized that i am who i am because of my mom. I get my wild crazy personality because my mom was never scared to be her crazy wild self. She showed me that life is more fun when you are your own person. Some day i hope to be the same mother to my children has my mom was to me. This lady walked me through life and was/is always there for me. She let me yell and scream out my frustrations. She let me be the all knowing teenager who just did not want to talk. She let me cry out my pain and sorrows. Through everything she was always there for me. I always knew i could turn to my mother and she would always be there and know just what to say and do.

I'm truly blessed to have been sent to the BEST mom ever!

CES firside

Bruce and i went to the CES fireside on sunday. Elder Bednar spoke. He talked to us about how our bodies are the most important gift that we have received and that we need to treasure them and know that satan is trying everything he can to get to us to misuse our bodies. he then went into the computer world and how we need to be careful with not allowing us to fall into the cyber world. He warned us against to many hours on the computer and living our lives vicariously through online games. It was all very interesting. I love CES firesides and was very happy that bruce went with me..then we headed to the pirate party.. see next post. When bruce got to the house aunt marsha saw him all dressed up and i was in my dress so she had us take pictures together. I didn't have any objections and bruce was down. =] Aren't we tute?

Pirate Lego Double date

Syl and i have been planning a double date in which we would build legos. We have been planning it since before she started dating cliff 4 months ago! Now that i have a bf we finally went with our plans. While we were searching for legos, we saw the priate set and had to have them. Then us being us we wanted to dress up as a pirate and have a pirate party while we built the set. Bruce went along with it! isn't he great?!
Isn't he so sexy? I brought the best dressed pirate thats for sure!

Romantic Date Suprise

So I have the most romantic boyfriend ever! He had this whole night planned out. He got a hold of my cousin and had her help him plan dinner for me in our back yard. Uncle kevin has THE most romantic yard ever!

As soon as i got off work jessica rushed me into my room to change. I was hurrying so i could call bruce and she kept telling me she had a surprise for me outside and that it took her all day to do it. I just had to go see what it was before i called bruce. I was like ok fine whats a few more minutes right..


she pulls the blind fold off and bruce is standing under the gazebo with the twinkly lights and a candle lit table!! I will never forget it! He pulls out the chair for me and jess and brooke brought out the salad and bread. It was so amazing! I couldn't believe everyone knew and kept it secret from me!!
He made, from scratch, chicken fettuccine alfredo and cheesecake! Both were ooooh so yummy! we even had sparkling cider!




After we went out on the lake then took a walk across the bridge. Most romantic and fun night ever! we watched she's the man after to top it off!!!

Day with BRE!

I didn't have school or work on Friday and i had a date with Bruce but that wasn't until 9 so bre and i planned to play during the day.. since i was going to be on that side of town!

We went to Castle and Coasters and played a round of mini golf!!! I had so much fun! We both got par on the second half of he course! I HAVE NEVER DONE THAT BEFORE! i owe it all to my daddy who showed me how your suppose to putt when we went a few months back!!

After we played we went to the park and played racquetball!! I now love that game!
