Kali made dinner for us and some boys. I came home from church and made all the posters. Those are all the true meaning of Christmas. IF you look carefully at the tree you'll see a present!! IT's for me from my roommates =] And kali is reading us a Christmas carol. She's the coolest!!!!

1st Basketball game!!!

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY!

This weekend was a stromy one. After the dance we all came home. We kept going out and talking to ppl as they passed by. While we were out there the wind picked up! It almost knocked me over!!! Then the rain came. IT WAS POURING! Kali jumped into rain clothes and ran out to play in it. Then the girls next door wanted to play so they went puddle jumping. I stood in the door freezing watching them play!!

Winter Formal

Sarah had asked a kid to winter formal back in OCT and she was telling us about her fun date she had planned. I then wanted a date but the kid I wanted to ask couldn't go. Kali ended up getting rejected 3 times then ended up with 2 dates. I gave her one of them though.... they went to the "day date" while i stayed home. i wasn't going to go to the dance but they ended up talking me into it. I wasn't in the mood to put on my prom dress so i just put on a cute skirt that was comfy. I went with kali and her date jori( her other date broke his hand during the day date so he didn't go to the dance). At first i just sat there then this kid andy asked me to dance. After that there was no stopping me!!! We had a lot of fun. After that we got home and called joel to come play. We started playing monopoly but i fell asleep during it.

SCARY!!!!!!

Soooo on saturday sarah and i were cleaning the apartment while kali was at work. They had bought a magazine for the quizzes and it had a bunch of disney charters in it like high school musical and hannah montana. WE had the great idea of putting them all over her ceiling cuz she wouldn't be able to reach them, even with a chair!!! While we were pulling out little prank of her, we found a HUGE SPIDER!!!! it was THE scariest spider i had ever seen in my life!!!!! We weren't sure if it was alive or not. I couldn't even look at the thing. Sarah is the one that kills the bugs and she was even scared of the thing!!! So we thought of our home teachers. We went over to one of their apartments and he wasn't home. so went to the next one. He wasn't there either. WE had no boys!!!!! The people next door to Ryan's house was there so we knocked on the door. We walked in and this HOT guy was sitting there and i said, " hi i'm krystal, we have a HUGE nasty spider in our house and we can't find out home teachers, can you come kill it for us?!?!" He kind of looked at us funny, but said yeah. So he came killed and conquered!!!

OH Christmas tree oh Christmas tree!

Christmas time is finally here =] Monday night rolled around and we were all sitting in the apartment doing nothing. SO we headed off to wal mart to buy us our chirstmas tree!! We are POOR so we ended up getting a ten dollar tree that's 3 feet tall. We bought lights and then we started looking at ordinments and saw how muc they cost. So sarah and i came up with making our own =] We went and got candy canes cuz i was out ( i eat them like crazy!!!) and the i sarah brought up the idea of doing popcorn garlin!!! So we bought some popcorn and we ran into Jordan at the store and asked him if we could use his popcorn popper. We then headed off to FHE.

WE HAVE THE GREATEST FHE group EVER!!! We had a lesson which was really good then i had the activity. There was like 15 of us so i thought we should play spaz!!! No one had played it before so sarah and i taught them how to play. We all laughed soooo hard we were crying!!! Our host family gaves us bags of M&M's for the treat too!!

AFter we went over to the boys house (casey preston jordan and ryan's) and played there for a bit and got the popcorn popper. We came home and put the tree up in 3 seconds. Sarah put the lights and tree topper on it. The i sat and made the popcorn garlin. Kali was finding recipes because we are planning a FACNY dinner for us and maybe for dates. Preston came over and helped but really he just played gutiar hero. we made snow flakes out of paper to hang in our windows

Joel and i broke up.


lol Yes it is true. NO worries everything is GREAT!!! I've been having the feeling that i needed to break up with him for some time now.. i just wasn't sure that's what i really wanted. I guess i was just scared of what it would mean not to have joel around and have to go out and be social. I also have had a boyfriend most of my dating life and I was kind of scared of having to go out and date again. But with some help i was able to do it. Since i've been here, i've grown spiritually. I think that's why i was able to finally listen to the still small voice and rely on Heavenly Father to help me through the break up process..

You're prolly wondering why and my reasons for all this.... well, we were at the point of Should we get married or not? YES i would have been more then happy to be married to joel, but he wasn't a return missionary. There's a lot of controversy over the whole marrying a return missionary but my thing was, why would i want to be married to someone who didn't want to give up something for the Lord. IF he couldn't make the sacrifices now when he has nothing and doing nothing, what would he do when his family was at stake. Joel always told me he was going to go. So i accepted it. However, he has done NOTHING in order to go. Yes he has debt and he's working but he wants to buy a car and get even more in debt. He doesn't want to take missionary prep classes. He just seems to be dragging his feet more so then he should. So i took me out and now it's all on him to go.

Since the break up things have been mostly the same but with some differences. We are still best friends and we both care for each other. It's hard some days and easy others. We are both striving to do what the Lord wants for us. We may end up together. We both want that, it's just the time right now to make sure some stuff gets done.

Now i'm back in the dating life AHHHHHHHHH!!! lol with the semester almost over i'm not going out and trying too hard right now. I'm not really planning on going out and finding people either for next semester. The Lord knows what i need and what i can handle so i'm just going to have fun and not worry about "finding my Husband" like everyone else up here lol

OH 2 more friends are getting married in dec. that's 4 friends that were single at the start of the semester and 4 that will be married at the end. LOL gotta love EAC!!!

BATMAN RETURNS!

I was bored one night, sitting at home, and had a brilliant idea. My moped, other wise known as BATMAN!, needed something that made him batman. So i went online and found the batman logo and sat down to make one. IT turned out really good!!! I was proud of myself! I tried to make one so i could put the outline on my lights so that it would be like the batman spotlight... but it didn't work =[ He is still super cool though!!!!

It's getting reallly cold now so whenever i ride batman i have to wear a beannie, a jacket, a wind breaker, two pairs of gloves, jeans, high socks, shoes, and a scarf to wrap around my face. =]

surprise party!

A few Sunday's ago us girls were sitting at the table hanging out when there came a knock on the door. I answered it and it was our friends Casey and his fiance (sp?). Casey lives in apartment 101 with preston ryan and jordan. Those are the boys we go to for EVERYTHING!!! Ryan is one of our home teachers and Casey is the "PA" of our family home evening group. I have public speaking with preston and Jordan is just funny! We are all good friends. Well Casey was going around to all the apartments telling everyone that it was Jordan's birthday and to come say hi if we had time. Sarah was like oooo lets make him a cake. Kali, who loves to bake, said YAY and started looking through ALL her recipe books for a cake. Casey was like ooo cool that's nice of you, Jordan was talking about making him own cake so that will be good. Then sarah had the big idea of throwing him a surprise birthday party. We had random party stuff for some reason and kali and i were hyper so we were all excited about that idea. So we told casey to spread the word and after the fireside we'd have everyone come over to our place and have a party. Kali set away with making the cake. I picked up the apartment and got to decorating. Sarah had another big idea of using Fondant frosting. So we had to find a recipe to make some fondant. The girls stayed home from the fireside to finish the cake while i went by myself ( it was WAY WAY WAY good). Then i booked it home afterwards to make sure everything was set. half an hour later people started strolling it. WE had like 50 ppl crammed into out tiny apartment. Jordan was way surprised! it was HUGE hit!!!

<3 FRIENDS <3

A few weeks ago Chantel and angel drove up to play with me for the day!! They are the greatest friends ever!! they drove 3 hours just to eat dinner play games and hang out. Then they drove another 3 hours home!!! AMAZING!!! They got up here around 2ish. We sat and talked. Then i taught them how to play POUNCE!! they loved the game. I won though =] no one can beat me up here... joel tries but i almost always win!!! Then i made my first ever chicken pot pie! IT was sooooooo yummy!!! We had a salad with it then had strawberry short cake (chantel's favorite) for dessert. We all played guitar hero and then we played imagine if.. Joslin (chantel's daughter age 3) ended up falling asleep while we played. Imagine if is just like dad's "what are you thinking" game but with a different twist. Around 10ish they packed up and headed home. I was sooo happy they came up and played with me!!!

1st friend to get married

Yeah so one friend down on the marriage list. Allison and brain are super fun. They were on our institue volleyball team. I met allison over the summer and brain got home from his mission when i was in hawaii. They got together like 2 weeks after he got back and got married on friday! CRAZY but sooo fun!! we had tons of fun with her getting married. =]

NEW ADDITION

we got a new entertainment center... the one we stole from the guys in the next building. We found the reason why they didn't care we took it.... they got a huge flat screen tv!! We love our new addition tho.. our apartment finally feels like a home now!! we love it!!!

YEAH look at how great my bruise got!!! crazy huh!!! thought you all wanted the update.. it's almost gone now and it doesn't hurt anymore =]

KALI IS GREAT... made us some chocolate cake!

For halloween kali is made us the best chocolate cake!!! She wanted to do it for halloween. It was all chocolate with pudding and whip cream in the middle and cake on top of it. She made tombstones with all our names on it and the other girls in the apartment. joel was the only boy with a tombstone. kali thought we should be buried together so she put us together in the front and everyone else was scattered on around the rest of the cake. She put gummy worms and pumpkin candies all over it too. It was way cute!! and super yummy!!!

DANNNNA DANNNA BATMAN!!

YES that is right!!!! I bought a moped this week!!!! It was an answer to my prayers... kind of.

Joel and i were at institute playing pool and ping pong when we saw the ad. I made him call and ask about. later that night we went to look at it.. and then i bought it!

It was $500!!! THAT WAS THE BEST PART!!! i'll be able to pay it off by the end of the semester! So i'll be in debt for like 2 months... while building my credit and now be able to get around. It's amazing!!!!! It is a really good bike too.

It goes about 30 mph... but i did get it up to 35 this weekend. It takes like $2.00 to fill up so it's amazing... and his name is BATMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

one lost duck

We lost a roommate on halloween. there has been drama with sylvia and sarah and kali for awhile. I was cool with her and didn't have any drama. BUT stuff lead to another thing and sarah ended up calling her out on it on halloween. I was left behind to smooth things over ( i was the good guy in the whole thing so i'm ok with it ) and she said she was moving out. Her dad is sick and she's poor and she's never ever here sooooooooo she was ok with it. now we are looking for someone else!!

HALLOWEEN!!!!

SO halloween was a way way way FUN day!!! I went to school blah blah then i went to work!!!!! My teacher made me a super cute bottle holder ghost... and gave me a bunch of candy!! the kids here get to dress up in their costume then go on a parade around the neighorhood. Then it was time for the party!! i got to eat yummy food and play with the kids.

I came home and got ready. I was a way hot 80's girl!! I had tons of fun doing my hair big again. we went trick or treating with jo jo. Well we made him go get candy so we could eat it!!! then we went and ate sister garica's food. we then went to this party at this way cool house by the river on top of the mountian. It was like a HUGE cylinder!! It had to have a diamater (it was round) of like 14 feet. there were over 100 people crammed into the first floor dancing. It was way fun!!! then we left and the girls upstairs blasted music and we had a dance party!! oh so fun! i went to bed earlier the the rest of my roommates.. like always =]

Service baby oh service!!

SOOO today i went to my first service project up here. we met at the church and i got a ride since sarah had to work and kali is in mexico. I met this girl who played with me the rest of the day THANK GOODNESS! we drove out to bonita ( yeah that a city in AZ!!!) with like 6 other guys we didn't know. We were picking chillies! We got there at 10:15 and picked chillies all day. My arms and hands have cuts all over them. I filled up 16 ten gallon buckets of chillies from 10:15 to 3:45 with an hour break for lunch. LUNCH was good.. we had chilli!!! heheeh we thought it was funny.. we also got a little CHILLY sitting in the shade hahaahh =]

It was tons of fun and i'm glad i went! I made new friends, got to serve others, and now i know how to pick chillies. The guy who owned the place kept complimenting me and kept telling every one i was pro at picking them. He was a cute old guy!!

Saturday

Bro Garica had his birthday on sat as well as Jordan getting baptised!!! It was a very fun day!!! Jordan was baptized with 3 other kids which i thought was weird. BUT all went well. we had a pretty good celebration that day =]

WORST NIGHT EVER!

I've thought a couple of times that i have had nightmares before. I've had my share of pretty bad dreams.... well i found out this week that i was wrong. I have my first real nightmare!

I had gone to sleep around the same time.. then around like 1:30 sarah comes into the room and say "krystal, we have a problem!!" So i got up to go see what this "problem" was they she couldn't handle herself. I walk out and my roommate Sylvia is in the bathroom with the mop. since no one ever cleans i was like WHAT are you doing?? For the fan over the toilet water was streaming down into the bathroom. The whole floor was flooded. Sarah and Sylvia didn't know what to do so they woke me up. So i called my landlord.. told her what happened. She said she'd call the plumber in the morning. Since she wasn't going to do anything i went back to bed leaving them to mop up all the water. ( i guess a girl up stairs was taking a bath and filled it to high or something and the excess water came into our apartment. The plumber said it was no big deal.

Well i went back to bed.... The details are kind of fuzzy but the only thing i really remember about the nightmare was that it was THE WORST feeling i have ever felt. I was sad, scared, worried, angry.. every bad feeling you can think of i was feeling all at once in this nightmare! I remember that i was trying to get away. Then the next thing i know I'm jumping and trying to run. What happened was i was laying on sarah's side of the bed and she has this little bookshelf where she keeps her stuff. My head was about where it was. I jumped so high and so fast that i jumped on top of it, breaking it. I was trying to run as well but only one foot caught the bookshelf so i fell. My hip hit the nightstand next to her bookshelf. I fell unto the floor and couldn't move my left leg at all. It hurt SOOO bad! worst pain i have ever felt, and i have hurt myself a lot in all of my sports. I think i was still kind of had the feelings of the dream so it made the pain 100 times worse. I just laid there on the floor til i could get up. It was about 2:30. I walked out to go get some ice for it. When i laid back down i made sure to go to my side of the bed and it took a little bit for me to be able to close my eyes. I didn't end up falling sleep but i was left with this nice battle wound. It hurts to wear jeans and joel keeps touching it on mistake. sarah keeps hitting me there too but it's getting better.

Homecoming week!!!

YUP this week was homecoming for EAC! It was a pretty fun week. They had dress up days which i thought was weird. GCC didn't have dress up days. Since i'm only at school for like 3 hours 3 days a week and 2 hours the other 2 days i didn't dress up. Some people got really into them tho. Monday night was the powderpuff football game but we didn't go since it was during FHE. Tuesday was the stud volleyball game but i didn't attend that either cuz i had a midterm the next day in which i needed to study for.
( crazy side note... i got 100% on it along with all the other test i've taken in that class.. dev psy!!! i know i'm good =])
Wed there was a volleyball game so we went that... they lost tho =[
thursday there was mechanical bull. Joel and went down to watch but didn't ride. I didn't feel like getting hurt since i still don't have insurance.
friday was the best day!!! The fall sing was all weekend and then there was a bon fire and a dance. Sarah had friday night off so we talked my roommate kali into dressing up with us. We did 80's. You can't really tell in the picture but sarah's hair is standing straight up without any means of support.... just hair spray!!! Thanks to aunt lisa i was able to play. we went to wal mart and got me a HUGE shirt and funky jewelry!! I'm just going as 80's for Halloween since it's fun easy and comfy!!
At the dance people got realty creative. The robots were my favorite! And this girl dresses up as Carmen San diago.She was way cute but i couldn't find her to take a picture!!!
saturday was the big game!!! right now EAC is 4th in the nation and hasn't lost a game yet. We won like 45 to 7 or something!!!

Late night schemes

The apartment next to us has had this entertainment center infront of it for a over a week now. Sarah wanted to steal it and put it in our apartment. We tried on sunday but didn't have much luck. Then i was trying to find something to put my pumpkin outside our door so people could see it. I didn't have anything tall enough. THEN i saw the entertainment center!! it was perfect height. IT was like 11 at night but i wanted it!!! So joel sarah and i went to the boys apartment (preston, ryan, kaci, and jordan live in 101) We made then come help us move it. We just took it! lol we figured they would realize that it was missing and see in over at the next apartment. If they wanted it they could move it back. IT was perfect for our pumpkins. If they don't say anything to us we might move it into our place after halloween!!!!

My roommates never sleep at night.. only in the morning and afternoons. ME i go to bed by 11 unless joel makes me watch a movie in which i always fall sleep. My roommates on one of their 2 o'clock in the morning boredness deiced they wanted to pull a prank on these boys Morgan and Spencer. They both have white trucks so they bought oreos and made the trucks look like dalmations. IT was really funny! Morgan knew sarah was apart of it and this girl that lives above us. So to get the girl upstairs morgan put a HUGE pile of dirt behind her car so we wouldn't be able to leave in the morning. PARKING stinks here! it's always packed!! At about 2 that day see was able to get her car out by inching her way away from the dirt. The dirt was there for like 3 days. We told morgan he had to do something to clean it cuz it was taking one of the prime parking spots. (not that it effects me with not having a car but my roommates didn't like it) Yesterday i was sitting in the living room when i heard a weird noise. I went outside and morgan was in a tracker moving the dirt!! HAHAH you gotta love small towns!! WHO HAS A TRACKER?????

THe hair....

Everyone here loves to do their hair with a puff at the back. They tease it and it looks great!!! i wanted to do it to my hair!! My hair is soo think that it doesn't really hold teasing well. Sarah thought she try and it ended up looking like i should have been in the movie hairspray.... lets just say i'll stick with the normal look...

PUMPKIN carving!!!

WE had sooo much fun carving pumpkins!!! Joel hasn't carved one since he was in middle school. He had NO idea what to do. I bought my pretty pumpkin with the GREAT stem and a little one because I knew he would end up wanting to help! As soon as i started to clean it he wanted to help. We had to pick something we both liked. He wanted lightening bolt eyes i wanted stars... it wasn't going well. Then i came up with glasses and sarah said just to do harry potter!!! So we did =]
